Some brands are businesses.
Others become something bigger. Communities and movements, spaces people return to because they feel seen there.
Bloom Business Co is one of those, cultivated and grown over the course of a decade.
To celebrate ten years of building community, my dear friend and founder Danielle wanted a whole new brand image - more mature, deeper, and just as vibrant as ever - to match a new direction. She said goodbye to Business Babes Collective and we jumped into a whole new world with Bloom Business Co.
And what better way to make it real than a layered, city-wide content day rooted in connection, personality, leadership, and the community Bloom has spent ten years cultivating?
As a Vancouver brand photographer and videographer, these are the projects I love most. The ones where the visuals aren't just documenting a business, but helping articulate the heart behind it.
What a Full-Day Rebrand Session Actually Is
Our full-day brand experience (I like to call it a spa day for your business) is designed for brands that need more than a handful of updated headshots.
It's a fully customized day combining strategic brand photography, branded video, creative direction, content planning, multiple locations, collaborative storytelling, social assets, and launch-ready visuals.
For growing and established businesses alike, it creates a cohesive visual library that supports website launches, social marketing, speaking engagements, campaigns, education platforms, and long-term brand growth.
For a rebrand as meaningful as Bloom's, that level of intentionality matters enormously.

Scene One | Studio Brand Photography in Gastown
We began inside a beautifully curated Gastown studio, building the foundational imagery for the rebrand.
This part of the day carried a colourful energy; warm, relational, approachable. We started with community members, capturing the leadership, collaboration, and connection at the core of Bloom's identity.
Then we shifted to Danielle's bright founder energy, curating content with her personal brand, podcast, and speaking opportunities in mind.
Studio sessions are especially valuable during a rebrand because they create clean, versatile imagery that can anchor website design, educational platforms, speaking opportunities, social graphics, launch campaigns, press features, and evergreen brand assets.
We leaned into soft natural movement, intentional styling, layered textures, and relaxed interactions, so the imagery could feel elevated without becoming corporate. We also chose softer, more mature colours to reflect how Danielle has grown alongside her business over the last decade.
Gastown is one of the strongest neighbourhoods in Vancouver for brand work. The brick, the light through those big studio windows, and the character of the streets right outside mean you can get three distinct looks without moving the car.
One and 1/2 | Elevated Studio Branding Content in a Gastown Studio
We continued the shoot in the studio, leaning into Danielle's bright founder energy, curating content with her personal brand, podcast, speaking opportunities and more in mind.
Studio sessions are incredibly valuable during a rebrand because they create clean, versatile imagery that can anchor:
- website design
- educational platforms
- speaking opportunities
- social media graphics
- launch campaigns
- press features
- evergreen brand assets
Visually, we leaned into soft natural movement, intentional styling, layered textures, and relaxed interactions that allowed the imagery to feel elevated without becoming corporate or disconnected. We also opted for softer, more mature colours to reflect how Danielle has grown and changed with her business over the last decade.
Scene Two | Rooftop Photography with the Vancouver Skyline
The rooftop portion brought an entirely different energy. Open sky, Vancouver skyline, movement, direct light, expansion.
This scene felt bolder, more confident, more aspirational, which suited the growth and vision behind the rebrand. Rooftops naturally create a sense of momentum and possibility, and that made for a strong visual metaphor for a business stepping into its next decade.
We captured founder portraits, movement-driven content, conversational imagery, candid connection, and branded video clips for Reels and launch assets.
That variety gives brands real flexibility across platforms while keeping the gallery dynamic.
Scene Three | Alleyway Content with Personality and Colour
One of my favourite things about this day was the deliberate contrast between locations.
After the refinement of the studio and rooftop, we moved into one of Vancouver's vibrant alleyways for content that felt playful, energetic, colourful, and personality-driven.
More casual in atmosphere, still elevated in identity. The textures, colour, movement, and urban energy created imagery that felt approachable, creative, and alive. We LOVED the pinks, purples, and yellows that highlighted Danielle's blooming bouquet. It was just too perfect.
For community-centred brands especially, this kind of content matters. Because audiences don't simply want to know what you offer. They want to know what it feels like to be part of your world.

Scene Four | Stanley Park Brand Storytelling
From there we shifted into Stanley Park for imagery that felt softer, calmer, more grounded.
This part carried real emotional balance within the larger gallery. Surrounded by quintessential Vancouver greenery, ocean air, and natural texture, the imagery slowed down and became more reflective.
Stanley Park gave us space for quieter founder moments, relational storytelling, movement-based lifestyle imagery, candid community interaction, intentional portraiture, and grounded brand visuals.
Nature-based brand photography is powerful for businesses rooted in community and emotional connection, because it introduces softness and spaciousness into the visual narrative.
And for Bloom, that grounded warmth is central to the brand experience itself.
Producing the “10 Lessons in 10 Years” Video Series
This reel series celebrated Bloom's ten-year anniversary and rebrand by weaving together years of footage; event coverage, brand sessions, and storytelling captured by our team and other creatives across Danielle's decade of business ownership.
Our team loved producing this series with Danielle, and using Bloom's fresh brand assets only made sense!
Community-Centered Brand Content
Throughout the entire VIP Brand Day, one of the most important goals was making sure the imagery reflected not only Danielle as a founder, but the community she has spent ten years nurturing. Some of the strongest personal brands eventually evolve into something bigger than one person, and we wanted to embody that in this shoot while also celebrating Danielle's heart in it all.
Content That Reflects a Community, Not Just a Founder
Throughout the day, one of the most important goals was making sure the imagery reflected not only Danielle as a founder, but the community she's spent ten years nurturing.
Some of the strongest personal brands eventually evolve into something bigger than one person. We wanted to embody that here while still celebrating Danielle's heart in all of it.
